Club Renovations
We are excited to announce that construction has now started to convert the Auditorium into an indoor/outdoor sports bar space along with a revamped function room.
The renovation will see various types of seating indoors & outdoors with a focus on a huge state of the art TV screen to enjoy live sports & events. The area will give more open access to our current Main Bar plus a dedicated bar inside the new space. The entire Indulge Dining & James Street Burgers menus will be available to order direct from tables with plans to expand service times on particular days.
At this stage, completion is expected around mid-October 2024.
Any further updates will be shown on this webpage.
TWC Management
TWC Masterplan
Thursday 16th May 2024
Dear Members,
In recent years, the club industry has experienced some major change with more significant changes expected to come.
With this, it is vital that Toronto Workers Club de-risks itself by reducing our reliance on gaming. This has been the driving force behind Elements of Toronto, Toronto Golf Club Driving Range and most recently James Street Car Wash.
We are delighted to announce that we will begin moving forward with an exciting masterplan that will enhance the shape of the community, our members and the area of Toronto itself.
Our key objective is to establish diversified revenue streams which in turn have long-term viability, whilst providing great facilities for all our 14,000 members & community to enjoy.
As such, management has engaged experienced expert advisors to help in strategic planning for the club's future long-term viability.
The conclusion of this extensive research shows that the best use of Toronto Workers Club’s portfolio is to;
Extend the Elements Retirement Village along Cook Street with construction of an additional 19 units. (as shown in ‘Artist Impression’)
Construction of a multi-storey hotel above the existing Toronto Workers Club building on James Street consisting of approximately 80 rooms. (as shown in ‘Artist Impression’)
Along with the creation of many new local job opportunities, it also gives our current staff a chance of further career advancement.
With this construction, it will unavoidably lead to the displacement of our bowling green and tennis court facilities. Toronto Workers Club is committed to continue supporting these members and has commenced exploring amalgamation opportunities with alternative sites.
Toronto Workers Club Board & Management have the best interests & intentions for all members, and we thank you in advance for supporting this new chapter with us.
Any public updates regarding this Masterplan will be accessible on the Developments page of the Toronto Workers Club Website.
